But on you will go though the weather be foul.
On you will go though your enemies prowl.
On you will go though the Hakken-Kraks howl.
Onward up many a frightening creek, though your arms may get sore and your sneakers may leak.
On and on you will hike. And I know you’ll hike far and face up to your problems whatever they are.

The drive to Austin, Texas

What I know about Texas:
Suzette lived there a while.
The stars at night are big and bright (deep in the heart of).
There is a Hill Country.
It has a panhandle.
It's right smack against Mexico.
The Alamo is there.
Arlen is not a real town.

Nuvi took us off-roading! I am glad to know it's not just an Alabama thing for her.

27 miles on this rutted gravel road.

After our off-roading, we came out in Texas and had to drive QUITE a ways to get gas. About the time we could see lights off in the distance, the gas range said 1 mile left. We went another 4 miles on that one mile and when we pulled into the station, it was on 0. That was fairly tense!
